John Baker, a native of Toledo, Ohio, began his career in illustration.

After working on two graphic novels(Lost Heroes, Spawn the Impaler), he pursued a career in web design. During this time he also provided artwork for the game Morton’s List and Brandon Sanderson’s story “First Born” in Leading Edge Magazine #50. After gaining his Bachelor’s in Cyberarts from the University of Toledo, he became the Web Site Development Coordinator at Stautzenberger College in Toledo.

Most recently, he published a short story entitled “Nithhad” with interior black and white artwork for issue #1 of Leading Edge Magazine. He also created digital artwork for the front and back cover of the same periodical’s second issue.
